Job Title: Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatment to individuals, families, and/or groups in an outpatient setting. This position involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment for clients in acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in our electronic medical record, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Coordinate care with nurse practitioners and other professionals to ensure holistic treatment.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA regulations and professional codes of conduct.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
  • Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Michigan (LPC, LMSW, LMFT, TLLP, PsyD, PhD, etc.)
  • Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient or similar clinical setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
