With extensive experience across various clinical settings—including inpatient facilities, community mental health, nonprofit, first response, and corrections—she provides evidence-based care tailored to complex psychological needs. Her trauma-informed, person-centered approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and psychodynamic strategies to best assist her clients. She is specifically trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She deeply appreciates each individual’s unique experience, ensuring that treatment is personalized and respectful of personal history and identity, promoting healing and empowerment. While she primarily works with adults, she works with some adolescent clients as well.
Imani earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She is currently a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the University of Detroit Mercy. She has worked with various populations across the Detroit metropolitan area.
After hours, Imani enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing video games. She has also volunteered and participated in various roles in southeast Michigan to promote social justice for marginalized communities.
