After completing medical school, he completed a four-year psychiatry residency at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York; further training was at the University of Connecticut in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
After completing his training, Dr. Zubairi worked for a community hospital in rural Missouri. A Michigander since 2006, he’s served in Jackson and with Henry Ford Health in Dearborn. He has over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Zubairi is Board Certified in Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatry.
Working in different settings and living in diverse places from metropolitan New York City to rural Missouri have given Dr. Zubairi a unique perspective and understanding of different sociocultural issues. In the last five years, in addition to providing clinical care, he has held clinical faculty positions at Michigan State University and Wayne State University Medical Schools, teaching medical students and psychiatry residents.
