She is especially interested in working with female teens and young adults to treat women’s issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. In a person-centered, individualized approach, Julie utilizes psychodynamic, CBT, and solution focused therapies. An LGBTQ+ ally, she strives to provide a supportive, safe, and empathetic environment. She understands the importance of building therapeutic relationships with clients to help guide the positive change they are seeking.
Julie earned her BSW at Eastern Michigan University and her MSW from Spring Arbor University. She has gained experience in counseling in a variety of settings, including schools and community mental health.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading fiction, baking, watching movies, and yoga.
